Just as the NAACP's recent feud with the Tea Party caused an uproar last week, Jasiri X, a rapper hailing from Pittsburgh, Pa., released a music video that cut to the heart of the matter: "What If The Tea Party Was Black?"
Jasiri X and rapper Paradise the Arkitech of X-Clan first got the idea when Paradise read an article by blogger Tim Wise, "Imagine If The Tea Party Was Black," and the pair immediately took to producing a video. The two rappers are offering their new album "American History X" to download for free, explaining on their MySpace page:
"We didn't want anything to prevent people from having access to great music with a powerful message. If people wanna support that's fine but for us this is bigger than just a couple of dollars"
The video is filmed in Washington D.C. and is cut with news footage to correspond with the lyrics.
The video even compares Palin with Sistah Souljah, a recording artist and activist best known for her controversial role during the 1992 presidential elections.
