Country crooner Jason Aldean has found himself in unfortunate circumstances after a tour bus carrying the "Dirt Road Anthem" singer ran over a pedestrian early Monday morning in Knox County, Indiana.

Multiple publications report that Albert Kennedy of Vincennes, Ind., was crossing the street at 1:28 a.m., when the tour bus struck and killed him. ABC News confirmed the tragedy with the Knox County Sheriff's Department, and also cited the police report that claimed "the individual deceased from trauma to the head and chest."

Aldean, 36, took to his WhoSay account to express his condolences to the victim's family. "With a heavy heart, I'm sad to say that a man passed away last night after stepping out in front of my bus in Indiana. In all the years I've been touring and all the miles we've driven, nothing prepares you for something like this to happen. I'm praying for Albert Kennedy's family and friends today and ask that you do the same," he wrote.
