Kansas Democrats had a packed agenda at their delegation breakfast Wednesday morning in Charlotte. Before dispensing out for an action-packed day that will feature speeches from former President Bill Clinton, Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren and the roll call of states, delegates from the Sunflower State had briefings on state and national politics.

The group heard from Celinda Lake and Joshua Ulibarri from Lake Research in Phoenix, who discussed the state of national politics and the political future in Kansas. Marlon Marshall, the national deputy field director of Obama for America, dropped by to brief Jayhawks on the president's reelection campaign. Marshall is also a graduate of the University of Kansas.

During Tuesday's breakfast, Kansas Democrats held a meet and great and heard from Jeff Davis, the state government affairs director of BNDF Rail, which is based in Columbia, Mo.
