Jay Leno, Shia LaBeouf & Arnold Schwarzenegger Give James Corden The 'Late Late Show' Training Of His Life

Watch Celebrities Whip The New 'Late Late Show' Host Into Shape

James Corden is ready for late night war.

In his "Late Late Show" debut, Corden finally explained how he became the successor to Craig Ferguson. Apparently, it all happened "Willy Wonka"-style. After other potential Ferguson replacements, such as Chelsea Handler and Joel McHale, failed to find a golden ticket, Corden just happened to come across one. Then, it was time for training.

Former "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno made a surprise appearance to take Corden to a late night boot camp, along with help from Shia LaBeouf, Allison Janney and Arnold Schwarzenegger. It got brutal. Corden even gets to the point where it seems only an angel can save him. It's a good thing he got something even better ...

"The Late Late Show with James Corden" airs weeknights at 12:35 a.m. ET on CBS.
