A nurse practitioner in Connecticut is accused of plotting to kidnap one of his patients and her daughters to imprison them as his sex slaves.
A warrant unsealed on Tuesday in the Superior Court of Rockville claims that Jay T. Mohler-Avery of Hartford attempted to "take delivery of a patient's 18-month-old daughter so he could sexually assault her," NBC Connecticut reports.
Mohler-Avery, 44, was arrested on Oct. 28 after an unidentified female patient told police that the suspect asked her to bring her infant to him so he could "break her in early," the Associated Press reports.
According to the Hartford Courant:
"He offered to financially support her and her children for the rest of their lives in exchange for [the woman] being his 'domestic slave,'" according to the warrant. A domestic slave, he explained to her, would maintain the home and satisfy his sexual needs whenever he wanted.
He also indicated that they would have to have sex regardless of who else was in the room, including her children, according to the warrant.
Mohler-Avery and his co-defendant, Candace Merriam, 46, run a private practice in Connecticut. Police also arrested Merriam in the late October.
Mohler-Avery faces charges of attempted first-degree sexual assault, conspiracy to commit first-degree sexual assault, attempted risk of injury to a minor and conspiracy to commit risk of injury to a minor.
