Made In America Festival Lineup: Pearl Jam, Passion Pit, D'Angelo & Skrillex On Jay-Z's Call Sheet (AUDIO)

Jay-Z Snags HUGE Names For Festival

Phase one of the Made in America festival's lineup has been announced, with legendary rock group Pearl Jam leading the pack at Jay-Z's Philadelphia extravaganza.

The other artists listed in a Facebook post on the festival's page reveal a diverse and textured lineup. Passion Pit and Miike Snow are sure to please indie dance rock fans while Santigold and Janelle Monae will add a youthful and soulful element to the show. There's already a strong dose of hip-hop and rap as well, with Jay-Z himself, Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Odd Future and Wale slated to perform. Rita Ora, Jay-Z's signee of the moment, is also on the lineup.

Fans of '90s R&B will certainly be pleased that Hov called in D'Angelo, who will be fresh off July's Essence Music Festival, his first performance in the states in over a decade.

Of course, no modern festival would be complete without some dance music, but it's surprising to see Jay-Z snag dubstep king Skrillex. Afrojack and "We Found Love" maestro Calvin Harris will also perform, as will Brooklyn DJ-producer trio SAVOY.

As we wrote when Jay announced the festival, the rapper is no stranger to festivals. He famously overcame boos and a cranky Noel Gallagher to headline Glastonbury in 2008 with aplomb (Jay started the show by covering Oasis's "Wonderwall" after Gallagher said festival organizers should not have booked a rapper). In late June, Jay-Z will join Rihanna for the BBC Radio 1 Hackney Weekend, a pre-Olympics celebration in London. He has appeared at a slew of other festivals, including an appearance at Coachella, where Beyonce made a surprise appearance during his set.

The Made in America festival takes place on September 1 and 2. Tickets go on sale this Wednesday. No word yet on whether Beyonce will also be performing.
