Jean-Claude Van Damme doesn’t want to answer “boring” questions about his old affair with Kylie Minogue, okay? He’d rather talk about more serious things, like doing a split between two giant tractor trailers, his support for Donald Trump or debating intersectional feminism.
The 55-year-old entertainer had a bit of a meltdown on the Australian talk show “Sunrise” Thursday morning when he got sick of the cameramen talking during his interview and getting asked the same old questions.
”Yeah, I like Kylie, I like everybody, can I please come to Australia and talk to you? Because, yes ... Sorry guys, I cannot do this anymore. You are talking to a guy who’s very rough, you know?” Van Damme said as he motioned to the camera to continue. “Let me talk. It’s good for the people, they can hear that. Let me talk, please.”
The martial arts master continued, “Those questions, the press, they have been asking me the same questions for the last 25 years. ‘Kylie?’ ‘How’s your training?’ ‘How’s your this?’ ‘How’s your that?’ I’m coming to Australia to maybe do something kind of different with the audience.”
Van Damme continued talking until he got so fed up that he ripped off his mic and walked out of the interview.
“What the f**k is going on with Australia? What the f**k is going on?” he asked as he walked off the set. “I cannot do this. I’m too natural.”
On the Sunrise Facebook page where the above video was posted, many viewers sided with Van Damme and chided the media for bringing up his decades-old affair.
“Good onya Van Damme, the media in this country are bloody boring and can’t come up with anything original,” one commenter wrote, while another echoed his thoughts, saying “Your questions are cheap, thoughtless, irrelevant and repetitive! He didn’t have a meltdown, he was bored with the stupidity.”
