Jeb Bush Will Appear On Stephen Colbert's First 'Late Show'

He'll join George Clooney and Kendrick Lamar.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) will be one of Stephen Colbert's first guests on "The Late Show" on Sept. 8, Colbert announced on Tuesday.

Colbert has also announced that George Clooney and Kendrick Lamar will appear on the show.

Colbert released a promo for his show earlier this month featuring 2012 GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney. The new host joked about the large number of Republicans (17) seeking their party's nomination for president in his tweet announcing Bush's appearance.

It won't be the first late-night appearance for Bush, who appeared on "The Tonight Show" in June to slow jam the news with Jimmy Fallon.

In 2006, Colbert famously skewered Bush's brother, then-President George W. Bush, at the White House Correspondents Dinner.
