Jeffrey Wright Joins 'Boardwalk Empire'

Jeffrey Wright is heading to "Boardwalk Empire." Deadline.com reports the veteran film actor will join Season 4 of HBO's prohibition-era gangster drama as Valentin Narcisse, a "Doctor of Divinity" and philanthropist who controls Harlem.

Wright is the second major casting addition to the upcoming "Boardwalk Empire" season. "Office Space" star Ron Livingston was cast as a wealthy businessman who comes to Atlantic City and befriends Gillian Darmody (Gretchen Mol).

In other casting news ...

Jane Lynch and Wilmer Valderrama join "Murder Police." The "Glee" and "That '70s Show" actors respectively will lend their voices to Fox's new animated inter-office workplace comedy, which follows "dedicated, but inept detective and his colleagues in a twisted city precinct. [Fox]

"Awkward" star will appear on "CSI." Nikki DeLoach will guest star in the 20th episode of the CBS procedural's current 13th season as Heather, who goes on a wilderness retreat with her company and becomes the prime suspect when her fellow team member winds up dead. [THR]

"Sullivan & Son" promotes comedians. Roy Wood Jr. and Ahmed Ahmed will be doing a lot more drinking this season. Both actors will get a bump from recurring to series regular status in Season 2 of TBS' bar comedy. [THR]
