The Tatums Teaming Up For A Dance Competition Show Is Cosmic Justice

They stepped up.

Things that make sense in this world: the Tatums having their own dance reality show, Rihanna grinding on Drake in the "Work" music video and this massive mural of Kanye West making out with himself.

Jenna Dewan Tatum and husband Channing Tatum are set to executive produce a new dance competition series for NBC because, well, why not? The network has ordered six episodes of the currently untitled show that, according to The Hollywood Reporter, will deliver a "fresh take" on the often recycled genre.

Both of the Tatums will appear on the show, but the series sounds like a showcase for Jenna to step (up) into the spotlight. She will serve as a mentor/judge on the series, whereas Channing will just stop by now and then.

The two, of course, met and fell in love while filming the now classic 2006 teen flick "Step Up," but both have long histories in the dance world. Dewan Tatum toured as a backup dancer for Janet Jackson and has worked with pop stars like Christina Aguilera, Missy Elliot and Pink. Before superstardom, Tatum was reportedly a stripper at a Florida nightclub.

In case you need any convincing of their combined talents, look no further than this curated compilation of the Tatums' best dance moments on screen. Selections range from their final "Step Up" performance to their unmatched "Lip Sync Battle" face-off.

We're still recovering.
