Jenni Rivera Tops Billboard Charts For Best-Selling Latin Albums

Jenni Rivera may have passed away, but she’s still topping the charts.

The Mexican-American diva currently holds the top three Latin Album spots on the Billboard charts.

“La Misma Gran Señora” jumped to the number one spot this week, followed by “Joyas Prestadas: Pop” and “Joyas Prestadas: Banda.”

The singer's fame has only grown since a plane accident took her life at age 43. Atria books announced this month that it would publish Rivera’s memoir “Unbreakable” in July, simultaneously in English and Spanish.

Rivera had finished the memoir before her death and began talks with Atria to publish it back in 2011.

Her father Pedro Rivera, a prominent music producer, said this week that he and Jenni Rivera’s siblings will go on an “Unbreakable” tour this year to thank the singer’s fans for their support.

The first concert is scheduled for March 2 in Houston, Texas.

Jenni Rivera died on Dec. 9, along with six other passengers, when her plane took a 28,000-foot nosedive on its trip from the northern Mexican city of Monterrey to Toluca.

It’s not clear why the plane went down. Mexican authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
