Jennifer Lopez Relives That Time Leonardo DiCaprio Texted Her 'Boo Boo'

“You know, I was afraid he would be mad when it all came out."

Jennifer Lopez sort of thinks that text to Leonardo DiCaprio was a “boo boo.”

For those who don’t remember — and, really, how could you ever forget — while J.Lo was participating in one of James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” segments, the “Late Late Show” host took her phone and texted DiCaprio.

This wasn’t just any text. Corden, pretending he was Lopez, sent DiCaprio a message saying, “Hey baby, I’m kind of feeling like I need to cut loose. Any suggestions?,” signing the text, “J.Lo, you know, from the Block.”

It was all fun and games until DiCaprio texted back, “You mean tonight, Boo Boo? Club-wise?”

Lopez and Corden cracked up, and the internet lost its damn mind.

We thought the story ended there, but unknowingly, like Lopez’s song, we’ve been waiting for tonight.

On Corden’s show Thursday, Lopez finally revealed DiCaprio’s reaction to learning it was all a part of “Carpool Karaoke.” Apparently, he was cool about the whole thing.

“How mad did he get? Was he OK? asked Corden.

“No, he wasn’t mad at all,” said Lopez. She continued, “You know, I was afraid he would be mad when it all came out. He was so cool about it.”

If anyone was perturbed in the slightest by the bit, it should’ve been Lopez. The actress says she was embarrassed by the text and then surprised that DiCaprio actually thought it was her.

“He answered back like it was totally normal that I would speak that way to him. It was great,” she said.

So did J.Lo know DiCaprio called her “Boo Boo”?

“No, I guess he calls every girl ‘Boo Boo.’ I don’t know,” said Lopez.

Sure, Boo Boo. Sure you don’t.
