Jenny McCarthy Would Gladly Be Playboy's Last Nude Centerfold

"It breaks my heart that it's the end of an era and, in solidarity, I will be wearing my panties at half-mast."

After hearing news of Playboy's decision to stop featuring fully naked models in its pages, Jenny McCarthy says she'd "totally take it all off one more time" to be featured in the magazine again.

McCarthy, a former Playmate of the Month and Playmate of the Year, first posed for the gentleman's mag back in 1993. During her Sirius XM show on Wednesday, the model and actress reacted to the news by campaigning for the final centerfold.

"I would totally be willing to take it all off one more time," she said. "Just to say I'll be in the last one."

To this day, McCarthy admits that she feels proud of her past Playboy spreads.

"They really captured that innocence of the women … almost like art," she said. "There was nothing that I felt was too embarrassing or gross. And nothing that I'm not proud of today."

She continued, "When I did my test shoot there, I had one unibrow and a giant bush to my knees. And they were like, 'You're in.' It breaks my heart that it's the end of an era and, in solidarity, I will be wearing my panties at half-mast."

The magazine's redesign was conceived by current chief content officer Cory Jones after it was realized that Playboy's website, which stopped publishing nude images last August, became more successful than the print issue.

"Don’t get me wrong ... 12-year-old me is very disappointed in current me. But it’s the right thing to do," Jones told The New York Times.

"That battle has been fought and won," Playboy chief executive Scott Flanders explained to the Times. "You're now one click away from every sex act imaginable for free [on the Internet]. And so it's just passé at this juncture."
