Jeremy Jordan is taking the "Smash" stage. Jordan, who stars in the Broadway production of "Newsies," will appear in the NBC musical drama as a series regular, a source confirmed to The Huffington Post.
According to TVLine, Jordan will play a straight "Brooklyn-born singer with a self-destructive streak." "Smash" returns to NBC midseason with a new showrunner, "Gossip Girl's" Josh Safran, and without a few faces. Jaime Cepero (Ellis), Raza Jaffrey (Dev) and Brian d'Arcy James (Frank) will not return in a regular capacity.

Cheyenne Jackson has joined "Behind The Candelabra." Jackson will co-star alongside Matt Damon, Michael Douglas, Rob Lowe and Scott Bakula in the HBO biopic about Liberace. [THR]
