Jerry Brown Wins California Governor's Race

California Gov. Jerry Brown (D) has been elected to a record fourth term in Sacramento, easily defeating GOP challenger Neel Kashkari in Tuesday's election.

Brown, who served his first two terms from 1975 to 1983, was elected again as governor in 2010.

Kashkari is a former U.S. Treasury official who helped oversee the federal bank bailout. He trailed Brown in the polls after finishing ahead of California state Assemblyman Tim Donnelly (R) in June's open primary.
