Jersey Boys Star Joseph Leo Bwarie On His New Album, The Good Stuff

American standards are songs which never out of style. So when Joseph Leo Bwarie made his second solo album, The Good Stuff, he set out to redefine the American standard with a modern big band sound. "With "Let's Stay Together" we pay homage to the incredible Al Green classic but mix things up with an old-school, big band horn section. The unexpected turns up until the very last note," explains Bwarie. His first record, "Nothin' But Love" featured legendary jazz guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli, famed Brazilian percussionist Paulinho da Costa and superstar arranger Charles Calello conducting a 40-piece orchestra. (Calello, has worked with Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Laura Nyro, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons and others.)

"The fun of recording my second album was giving each track something unique in the arc of the song -- like a series of short stories that all fit together," Bwarie says.

Bwarie currently plays the falsetto-singing Frankie Valli in the hit Broadway musical Jersey Boys, (he's played the role for eight years), and has been in many films including The Princess Diaries 2: The Royal Engagement and The Addams Family.
