Was THIS The Origin Of The Name Jesse Pinkman?

"Breaking Bad" fans, ever wonder about the origin of Aaron Paul's award-winning, meth-cooking character's name, Jesse Pinkman? The erudite participants of Reddit sure have, and they may have come up with an answer.

One Redditer by the name of SH4FTer noticed yesterday (Jan. 14) that Paul, in his pre-"Breaking Bad" era, made a small cameo in the 2002 flick "Van Wilder." In the scene, Paul plays a wasted college student who points Wilder's (Ryan Reynolds) father in the direction of his party mogul son. Or, as Paul puts it, "the raddest f--king dude alive!"

Could the pink shirt Paul wears in the scene be the inspiration for Pinkman's name? We'd like to think the show's creator, Vince Gilligan, has enough humor in him for that.
