Jessica Simpson's Destination Maternity Line Is On Its Way (PHOTOS)

Jessica Simpson's Next Stop: Destination Maternity

We heard the good news many months ago, but after a long-awaited gestation period, it's finally here...

No, not Maxwell Drew Johnson. Jessica Simpson's maternity line has finally arrived! The new mom, who gave birth to daughter Maxwell on May 1, has unveiled a new line of stylish maternity wear in collaboration with Destination Maternity.

Women's Wear Daily reports that the collection is the twenty fourth category of fashion products to bear the Jessica Simpson Collection name, which is licensed by the Camuto Group. The singer-turned-mogul has already made millions from her shoe, apparel, accessories and jewelry lines and is famously on pace to earn $1 billion by year's end.

Interestingly, Jessica and her fiance Eric Johnson earned less than expected in another typical celebrity deal: selling the baby pictures. The first photos of baby Maxwell were sold to People for $800,000 (compare that to the $14 million earned by Angelina and Brad's twins, Vivienne and Knox Jolie-Pitt). As one mag editor told The Huffington Post, "Jessica is a little bit of a risky cover... She hasn't sold magazine covers in a long time, which is why she has been offered less than a million for the pictures."

But she's undoubtedly a retail juggernaut, from her own million-dollar empire to her role as advisor on NBC's fashion design show "Fashion Star." Now her latest project, Jessica Simpson for Destination Maternity, will hit 700 stores this fall with prices ranging from an affordable $36 t0 $69.
