When Halloween rolls around, Thanksgiving turkeys are already on sale. By the time Thanksgiving hits, it's time to go Christmas shopping. And by the time the December issues are about to all roll out, fashion mags have already got a January 2012 issue ready to go.
So it goes: Flare has become the first (we think) fashion magazine to debut its January 2012 issue, making us feel seriously behind on our New Year's Eve party planning. But we're put at ease by the cover itself, which features the serenely gorgeous Jessica Stam.
Stam, who already covered Flare's September 2011 issue, looks divine in purple, which is a color with which we typically associate her. No, she doesn't wear an inordinate amount of violet -- but once upon a time, we happened upon this Elle Decor story about Stam's enviable New York apartment, with rich lilac walls and lavendar velvet furniture, and we fell head-over-heels in love. We're talking serious apartment envy, to the point that it stuck in our minds for months.
So when we saw the model's newest purple look, we were inspired -- and we took a quick look back and found that Jessica has appeared on quite a few purple covers, one prettier than the next.
Although none more gorgeous than her apartment.
