I never cease to marvel at the power of jet black skin.
It has the power to make many mute.
It hast he power to make others yell.
It has the power to evoke stares of wonderment.
It has the power to wake dozing security guards anywhere.
It has the power to slow a police car.
It has the power to slow any car.
It has the power to strand people in the middle of a street when it is present on both sides of the street.
It has the power to make reservations at restaurants and hotels disappear.
It has the power to elicit self-hating comments from lighter skin colored people.
It has the power to elicit ridicule when it disappears in poorly snapped photographs.
It has the power to pull triggers and effect chokeholds.
Jet Black has power.
I have spent a lifetime simply trying to channel this power into something good.
