2. Slick Rick At Howard Theatre
The hip-hop legend will be celebrating the late, great Godfather of Go-Go Chuck Brown. Rick will be backed up by the New Orleans group The Soul Rebels. Rare Essence will also perform. In case you were worried about missing Game 5 of the NBA Finals, the game will be on the screens during the show. Also, the Howard Theatre utilizes air conditioning. 8 p.m., all ages, $25

3. Sushi With Sake And Sumo Wrestling At 918 F St. NW
Events like these make Living Social more than just a deal app. Utilizing its new downtown space for a mix of food and entertainment, the company is turing into a one-stop shop for an evening of events. 4. Benevolent Media Festival Opening Party At Epic Yoga DC
A celebration for when design meets storytelling. The five-day fest will feature a wide array of events, definitely something to keep in mind when you're making weekend plans. Most of the venues involved utilize air conditioning. 7 p.m., 18+, $8 to $10

5. Edie Sedgwick, Art Sorority For Girls, Brenda At Fort Reno
