Jillian Michaels is getting married!
The fitness guru, 42, popped the question to girlfriend Heidi Rhoades on the season finale of her reality series, "Just Jillian." A clip from the March 8 episode, which can be viewed below, showed a video montage that Michaels created for Rhoades as part of the emotional proposal.
Included in the elaborate clip were shots of the couple, who have been together since 2009, traveling to exotic locales around the world, as well as footage of them at home with their two children, Lukensia, 5, and 3-year-old Phoenix.
At the conclusion of the video, a teary-eyed Michaels dropped to one knee before telling Rhoades, "I know I'm an a**hole all the time, but if you'll continue to put up with me, I would like you to marry me."
Describing Rhoades as "the perfect person" for her, Michaels said, "The only place where there's a solace and a respite and a safe haven is with my family. And Heidi is the nucleus of that family. She is the glue that really holds everything together."
The news comes a week after Michaels opened about her relationship with Rhoades in an interview with E! News' Maria Menounos.
"I have this, I don't want to say fear, but I feel like I'm preparing myself for the day she wakes up and goes, ‘I'm done with you,'" she said of Rhoades. Still, she added, "She tells me over and over that I'm insane."
Fortunately, Michaels seems to have conquered her fears, and given us a few incredible relationship goals of our own in the process.
