Jim Norton's 'Hannity' Defense Of Lena Dunham Goes Off The Rails (VIDEO)

WATCH: Comedian Shuts Down Lena Dunham Critics On Fox

Comedian Jim Norton was a guest on "Hannity" on Tuesday, and was given an odd task: To defend Lena Dunham's faux-controversial Memorial Day tweet, in which the "Girls" star posted, "Happy Memorial Day! I've already peed in two different Starbucks bathrooms!"

Even Hannity didn't seem to think it was such a big deal. But Norton, a regular on the "Opie and Anthony" radio program as well as "The Tonight Show," faced off against Katie Pavlich, editor of the right-wing Townhall.com.

Norton seems to throw Hannity off his script by defending Dunham: "I honestly don't think she was slamming veterans at all," he said, joking that he's a "creep" who enjoys her often-raunchy comedy.

But Pavlich disagreed.

"It would be nice if Lena Dunham understood the fact that she has the freedom and the ability to write the scripts for her 'Girls' show in English thanks to the men and women who have sacrificed their lives for freedom," she said, apparently imagining an alternate reality "Girls" that takes place in Nazi-occupied America.

But as Pavlich ratcheted up her rhetoric of blaming Hollywood for not caring about the troops, Norton -- who frequently performs for the troops in USO shows -- saw his patience rapidly waning away.

"Trust me, I've seen people say things that are crappy, and vomit-inducing, and disrespectful. This was just not one of them," he shot back.

Check out the clip above to see Norton go at it with Pavlich, while Hannity does his best to stay out of the way.
