Jimmy Fallon Emmys 2012: Late Night Host Jokes Amanda Bynes Drove Him To The Red Carpet

Jimmy Fallon: 'Amanda Bynes Drove Me To The Emmys!'

By the one-liners Jimmy Fallon was throwing out tonight on the red carpet, you would think he was hosting the 2012 Emmys.

The "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" host chatted with "E! News" correspondent Ryan Seacrest, joking, "I’m just happy to be alive ... I got to be honest Amanda Bynes gave me a ride over and I’m just happy to be here."

Of course, Bynes has been making headlines lately for her multiple run-ins with the law. The 26-year-old was slapped with two counts of driving on a suspended license on Friday and faces six months in jail for each offense, according to TMZ.

But Fallon didn't just mention Bynes during his red carpet appearance with Seacrest. The funny man, who congratulated pal Jimmy Kimmel on nabbing the hosting job this year, let viewers know that he's meeting up with Honey Boo Boo child for an Emmys after-party.

"We'll be doing some belly flopping, some tooth swapping," Fallon joked, adding, "it’s going to be nuts tonight.”

Considering Fallon revealed Clint Eastwood saved him a seat for the show, we have no doubt his night will be one to remember!
