'Game Of Thrones' Fan With Spear To Intruder: Valour Morghulis

"Valour Morghulis," they say on "Game of Thrones," and to the uninitiated that means, "All men must die."

That's a little lesson a bloodied Thomas McGowan might want to take to heart.

The 25-year-old Texan from Wichita Falls appeared battered in a booking photo after allegedly breaking into the home of Jimmy Morgan Jr., a "Game of Thrones" fan trained in self defense, who collects all sorts of memorabilia, including a medieval sword, according to KFDX TV.

"I am a Christian man," he told the Fox station. "I don't want to take life, however I want to make sure that he understands that his life was mine to take. I let him have it."

According to KFYO radio, the incident began Tuesday evening when police tried to pull over McGowan, who was allegedly intoxicated and driving a stolen car. Police say they received a call from Morgan, shortly after they lost sight of McGowan's car.

Morgan claims that McGowan entered the home through a window. Faced with a fight or flight situation, the homeowner said he reached for a spear.

“As he was running, he smeared blood from here to high heaven and he splattered here and he splattered there and splattered all over there,” Morgan told the radio station. “It was like a deer.”

McGowan is charged with evading arrest, criminal trespass and driving while intoxicated, according to reports. He was treated for injuries and booked into jail.
