J.K. Rowling Confirms 'Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them' Will Be A Trilogy

That's two more "Harry Potter" films coming our way!

Harry Potter fans rejoice!

J.K. Rowling just confirmed that "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," based on Rowling's book of the same name, is actually the first film in a trilogy, which means there are two more "Harry Potter" films coming our way in the future.

On Monday, the bestselling author responded to a fan on Twitter who inquired about Rowling's new play, "Happy Potter and the Cursed Child," the "eighth story" in the Potter universe. The play focuses on Harry in his adult life after the great Battle of Hogwarts.

The fan expressed her excitement about the "Cursed Child," writing, "I heard this will be a movie, too."

Rowling, ever the one to keep her followers in the know, corrected the fan by saying, "You heard wrong, I'm afraid."

But it wasn't all bad news, because the author made sure to add, "#FantasticBeasts will be 3 movies, though!"

Three Eddie Redmayne movies instead of one? We're definitely on board. One fan on Twitter even speculated that the last film will be broken into two parts, meaning there'd be four films.

"Fantastic Beasts" stars Redmayne as the "magizoologist" and textbook writer Newt Scamander. Scamander wrote a textbook read by Harry -- which shares its name with the film -- 70 years before The Boy Who Lived made his way to Hogwarts. But of course, the story still takes place in the same magical universe created by Rowling.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" opens Nov. 18.
