"Dynasty" icon Joan Collins spoke at length about her gay fanbase in a new interview with Michael Musto.
As to why gay men love her so much, Collins -- who will hit New York on Nov. 5 for an appearance at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill, near Times Square -- cited her oft-imitated bombshell looks as one of the many reasons.
"I think gay people love glamorous women, and I think I’m glamorous," Collins told Musto. "And I’m not blowing my own trumpet, but I’ve been told it often enough."
The 80-year-old Hollywood star also attributed her "Dynasty" legacy as having endeared her to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community, particularly as her character, Alexis Carrington, had a gay son.
"That had an effect on very young gay men," she noted. "We received a lot of mail about it."

In a 2010 chat with Out magazine's Dustin Fitzharris, Collins said she was flattered by the attention from her gay fans.
"I think that they like me maybe because I'm a survivor and because I don't take life too seriously," she said at the time. "Maybe because I have had a lot of ups and downs. I think the glamour has a lot to do with it as well."
