Joe Biden Called 'Veep' Star Julia Louis-Dreyfus

When Joe Biden Called Julia Louis-Dreyfus

HBO's "Veep" centers on Louis-Dreyfus as Vice President Selina Meyer and the staff that makes up her office. The actress told Politico that Biden “was in touch with me to congratulate me on winning the Emmy for this part, and he was very funny about it, which led me to believe that he may have seen a couple of episodes."

There's no shortage of proof that Biden has a sense of humor: The vice president filmed a guest spot on NBC's "Parks and Recreation."

"Meeting Vice President Biden was a thrill for me and for Leslie," Poehler said in a statement when Biden's guest spot was announced. "He was a good sport and a great improviser. The Vice President maintained his composure while I harassed him and invaded his personal space. The nation of 'Parks and Rec' will be forever grateful."

The new season of "Veep" premieres Sunday, April 14 at 10 p.m. ET on HBO.
