Joe Jackson, 87-Year-Old War Hero, Helps Feed Hungry In His Community

In 1969, Joe Jackson was presented the National Medal of Honor, the highest military honor, for flying into enemy fire to rescue three stranded soldiers. Now retired, after over 30 years of military service, the 87-year-old veteran continues to serve -- this time, his community.

Each Monday for the past 18 years, Jackson gets together with a group of friends, who collect groceries donated from a neighborhood supermarket. They bring the donated supplies to Kent Lutheran Church, where volunteers prepare hundreds of meals to feed people in need.
