Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski Argue About Obama's Handling Of Elizabeth Warren (VIDEO)

WATCH: Joe And Mika Fight About Obama

Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski sharply disagreed on Monday's "Morning Joe" about President Obama's handling of the Elizabeth Warren nomination.

Obama chose Richard Cordray as his first nominee to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau--passing over Warren, even though the consumer watchdog was her idea. On Monday, Brzezinski read an op-ed harshly criticizing the Republicans for their opposition to Warren--who has been a regular guest on "Morning Joe."

"They basically do not want the bureau to function," she said. "Does anyone disagree?"

"I don't think Wall Street wants it to function," Scarborough said. "I don't think business interests want it to function." He then turned his sights on Obama, saying he had caved to Wall Street by not choosing Warren.

"It's good to see that, as always, the President stands up and fights for the person he believes in," he said. "It's not like he gained anything from Wall Street by throwing Elizabeth under the bus. Oh, wait a minute, yes he did."

"It's called the art of the possible," Brzezinski shot back.
