Joel McHale Says Chevy Chase Will Follow 'A Trail Of Money' Back To 'Community'

Despite making fun of her and her show relentlessly on "The Soup," Joel McHale was all smiles when he appeared on "The Wendy Williams Show" (weekdays, syndicated). They laughed and everything was tension free between them. In fact, things didn't get awkward until Wendy Williams brought up Chevy Chase.

It was an inevitable move, with Chase and "Community" making a huge impact on television media in recent weeks. More people probably know about those voice mails than watch the show on average.

Nevertheless, McHale laughed off any concerns that Chase might abandon the show should it get picked up for a fourth season, implying that the comedy veteran would follow "a trail of money" back to the show.

All appears to be forgiven between the two stars. As reported by The Wrap, they embraced and made cracks together at the recently filmed Comedy Awards.

Laugh along with "Community" every Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. "The Wendy Williams Show" airs weekdays. Check local listings for time and channel.
