Joel Przybilla Injury VIDEO: Blazer Injures Knee

Just weeks after losing promising center Greg Oden to a season-ending knee injury, the Portland Trail Blazers have seen another center suffer a gruesome injury to his knee as well. During the first quarter of last night's game at Dallas, center Joel Przybilla landed on his right leg after trying to grab an offensive rebound. Przybilla ruptured his right patella tendon and suffered a dislocated patella, and Joe Freeman of the Oregonian writes that the center is out indefinitely. Despite the injury, the Blazers beat the Mavericks 85-81.

Przybilla suffered one of two grim injuries on the basketball court last night. In Seattle, Texas A&M guard Derrick Roland fractured two bones in his leg and caused his teammates to visibly recoil in horror after landing awkwardly in the second half.
