Joel Robuchon To Spice Up Air France's Menu

The quality of airline food is often a gripe among passengers, though carriers seem to be stepping up their game.

First, American Airlines teamed up with Marcus Samuelsson and Richard Sandoval. Now, Joel Robuchon is going to be the new face of Air France's food.

French-born Robuchon, the most Michelin-starred chef, is known stateside for restaurants L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon in New York and Las Vegas, and Joel Robuchon also in Vegas. Beginning December 1, he will for six months "serve as the first of Air France's ambassadors of the art of French gastronomy," the airline announced Wednesday.

Robuchon will contribute one dish to the four daily business-class offerings, and his meals will change every 10 days.

Some of his contributions include: Basque shrimp and turmeric-scented pasta with lemongrass; chicken breast in green curry sauce, poppy seed rice, carrots and shiitake mushrooms; and crayfish pasta with Nantua sauce.
