Rep. John Dingell (D-Mich.) was hospitalized for abdominal pain Monday but is "doing well," according to NBC News and Detroit News' David Shepardson.

According to Shepardson, Dingell was admitted to Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit:

Dingell's office released the following statement on his condition:

Dingell is doing well, is receiving an IV treatment of antibiotics, and remains in good spirits.
