Sources have told the Web site, Gawker, that during their affair John Edwards and Rielle Hunter made a sex tape together that includes "several sex acts."
The tape was reportedly discovered by longtime Edwards aide Andrew Young, the author of a new tell-all book about Edwards called The Politician, due out next month.
Young has recently been riding a wave of media attention for revelations he makes in the book.
And last week Edwards announced he fathered a child with Hunter. Edwards had previously denied he was the father of Frances Quinn Hunter, but the former presidential candidate admitted paternity in a statement last week.
"I am Quinn's father," Edwards said in a statement. "It was wrong for me ever to deny she was my daughter and hopefully one day, when she understands, she will forgive me."
