Secretary of State John Kerry -- who served as a U.S. Senator from Massachusetts from 1985 to 2013 -- made a major gaffe Thursday when he botched the name of Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline," a song that's a major part of Boston Red Sox tradition.

Kerry called the song "Sweet Adeline" Thursday morning while discussing the New York Yankees crowd's rendition as a tribute to those affected by the Boston bombing.
