John McAfee Reportedly Suffers Heart Attacks In Guatemala

John McAfee Hospitalized

John McAfee, the antivirus software pioneer who's spent the better part of the last month trying to evade authorities in Belize, has "suffered two mild heart attacks," Reuters reports.

McAfee, 67, was taken to a hospital in Guatemala after having convulsions, according to CNN.

The Associated Press, however, reports that McAfee was suffering only from "high stress":

McAfee told The Associated Press that he had suffered chest pains overnight but didn't believe he had suffered a heart attack. A government doctor who examined him agreed, saying McAfee's heart rhythm and blood pressure were normal, and he appeared to be suffering from high stress.

Matt Gutman, an ABC News correspondent, tweeted that McAfee "appeared unresponsive in [the] ambulance." But in a later tweet, Gutman said he responded clearly to nurses.

Guatemalan police arrested the American-born McAfee on Wednesday for entering the country illegally. Authorities there said he would be returned to Belize.

Authorities in Belize seek McAfee for questioning in the murder of his neighbor, Gregory Faull, an American expatriate. Faull was found last month shot in the head.
