John Oliver & His Celebrity Friends Create The Perfect Sex Ed Video

"No parent wants to talk to their kids about sex, and no kid wants to talk about sex with their parents."

Summer vacation is almost over, and as John Oliver pointed out on Sunday's "Last Week Tonight" on HBO, that means there will soon be stories about parents angry over sex education.

But those classes are crucial.

"Teaching sex ed in schools is really important for obvious reasons: No parent wants to talk to their kids about sex, and no kid wants to talk about sex with their parents," Oliver said. "That is why when you're watching a movie together and there's a sex scene, everyone becomes motionless and silently begs for the merciful release of death."

Unfortunately, sex education is required in only 22 states, and just 13 require that the information be medically accurate, Oliver said. Which means kids are getting no information -- or even bad information -- on everything from birth control to consent. So what can we do?

Oliver has recruited a few celebrity friends to help create a sex ed video for today's youth. Check it out in the clip above.
