Amber Heard must have been extra nice this year, because boyfriend Johnny Depp didn't cut any corners with finding her a super extravagant Christmas gift.
According to Life & Style Weekly, Depp dropped nearly $50,000 at jeweler Neil Lane on gifts for Heard. An eyewitness told the magazine, "He got her diamond drop earrings set in platinum -- about two carats total." Apparently, he didn't stop there. The actor also bought a diamond pendant to complete the set.
The couple first met in 2011 on the set of "The Rum Diary." At the time, Depp was in a long–term relationship with the mother of his children, Vanessa Paradis. Since the film, the actor has ended his previous relationship and entered one with Heard. The young actress spoke of her relationship with Depp in an interview with Company magazine: "It is really hard when you spend your life living out of a suitcase. But it really does weed out superficial people -– if someone is still with you after the second movie then they’re probably a good one! I like to trust people in general –- it’s the southern girl in me."
If Depp's holiday spending budget is any indicator, we'll say their relationship is going quite well.
