Johnny Weir and his estranged husband, Victor Voronov, have officially reconciled.

As TMZ first reported, the U.S. Olympic figure skater, 29, took to Twitter in the wee hours of May 6 to confirm the news:

My husband and I have happily reconciled. Please respect our privacy and integrity at this time.

The couple's tumultuous relationship has been the source of intense tabloid scrutiny since March, when Weir first announced the separation on Twitter.

On April 28, Voronov broke his media silence, telling Inside Edition that he felt "betrayed, heartbroken [and] shocked" by Weir's "unforgivable" behavior. Still, he added: "That doesn’t take away from the fact that I love him.”

In recent weeks, Weir had dismissed reports from a number of media outlets which claimed that the couple were planning to reconcile.

“I had hope and Victor and I were talking about reconciliation, but it was for naught," he told Access Hollywood.

News of the split came after Weir reportedly appeared in a New Jersey courtroom on charges of domestic violence against his husband. At the time, Weir-Voronov asked the judge to dismiss the charges, in which he alleged that Weir had bitten him during a dispute, according to Radar Online. The dismissal was granted, according to the report.
