Jon Stewart Shows How Antonin Scalia Is A Total Hypocrite

Jon Stewart said Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonin Scalia may have reached his breaking point last week, with a series of bizarre and conflicting opinions that involved the use of words such as "jiggery-pokery" and "applesauce."

“You kiss your mother with that mouth?" Stewart mockingly asked on "The Daily Show" Monday night. "‘Jiggery-pokery?' ‘Applesauce?' Sir, let us not say things we can never take back ... or even understand.”

Stewart said the crankiness of Scalia's insults "runs inverse to his intellectual consistency," and then proceeded to point out all the ways Scalia's decisions repeatedly contradict themselves.

Scalia argued that the Supreme Court ignored the will of the voters in last week's historic same-sex marriage ruling, but as Stewart pointed out, he didn't seem to care about the will of the voters when he tried to destroy Obamacare just a day earlier.

"Or if the voters wanted to limit campaign finance spending, then he had no problem telling people to fuck off at that time," Stewart said.

From the Voting Rights Act to the 2000 presidential election, Scalia has a long history of trying to overturn the will of the voters himself, Stewart added.

Being on the losing end of the gay marriage decision last week gave Scalia "one of the worst Fridays of his life," so Stewart offered a gesture of empathy: a cartoon called "Antonin Scalia and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day."

Check it out in the clip above, which contains both "jiggery-pokery" and "applesauce."
