"Do you know how hard it is to make volunteering at a homeless shelter look like a negative thing?"
Jon Stewart couldn't hold back his aggravation at both the manufactured Paul Ryan soup kitchen photo op and the media's coverage of it on Tuesday night. More importantly, he said what we were all thinking about this election season: "Please, for the love of god, make it stop."
It's clear that malaise and cynicism have overtaken the campaign when even the easiest slow-pitch opportunities make you look like an out-of-touch phony.
Watch Stewart's take down of Ryan's dish duty above, and weep with shame at MSNBC's coverage of it. Are you ready for this thing to be over, too?
