Jon Stewart Finds The Senate Is Gridlocked 'Even When It Comes To Sh*tty Sexism'

'Even When It Comes To Sh*tty Sexism, The Senate Is Gridlocked'

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) recently went public with accusations of sexist behavior against some of her fellow lawmakers.

"Good thing you're working out, because you wouldn't want to get porky!" one male colleague told her.

Another male senator squeezed her stomach and said, "Don't lose too much weight now. I like my girls chubby."

On Tuesday night's "Daily Show," host Jon Stewart noted that "even when it comes to shitty sexism, the Senate is gridlocked."

He pointed out the irony of being judged on appearance "by a group of men who, if you squint, look on a good day like a bowl of dried fruit."

That was actually his nicer comparison. Stewart also suggested that male lawmakers look a lot like balls -- and he didn't mean baseballs or tennis balls.
