Jon Stewart Slams Steve Jobs And Apple For Handling Of Leaked iPhone (VIDEO)

Jon Stewart Slams Steve Jobs And Apple For Response To Gizmodo Case (VIDEO)

Jon Stewart's no stranger to going after public figures, pointing out their ridiculousness, and promptly laying into them. But last night he took on a foe that most don't mess with: Steve Jobs. It was conflicting bit for Stewart, who repeatedly admitted to loving the Apple products.

The bit was in response to the Gizmodo exclusive on the lost iPhone and the ensuing raid on its editor's home. Regarding the latter, Stewart acknowledged that it was further proof that Apple has become "the man," the very thing they've rebelled against throughout their history. To remind them, Stewart pointed to their legendary "1984" commercial that introduced the Macintosh and added:

"It wasn't supposed to be this way. Microsoft was supposed to be the evil one. But now you guys are busting down doors in Palo Alto while Commandant Gates is ridding the world of mosquitos."

Addressing Jobs (or Camera Three) specifically, Stewart feared that the mad genius would "go all Howard Hughes" on us. And of course, no bit on Apple would be complete without an inspired rant against AT&T, who makes their "amazing phone unusable as a phone."
