GOP State Legislature Candidate With Sexual Fetish Drops Out

Jordan D. Haskins, a 24-year-old GOP candidate for Michigan's legislature with a vast and unusual criminal history, said Thursday that he's dropping out of the race.

Haskins posted the following message to his Facebook page:

Haskins, currently on parole, has a criminal record that dates to age 15 and includes four arrests from April 2010 to January 2011 for trespassing and vehicle break-ins. He took pleasure in "cranking" in the vehicles, according to police reports, which experts have said involves disconnecting ignition wires and masturbating while re-starting the car engine.

Haskins' his withdrawal comes after the April 25 deadline to do so, so his name will still be on the Aug. 5 GOP primary ballot for Michigan's 95th District House seat.
