This Notre Dame Football Walk-On Was Just Surprised With Scholarship

All the feels.

Although Josh Anderson has not yet seen time on the field as a walk-on for Notre Dame, his coaches showed just how valuable the young player has been.

While Anderson modeled the team's new "Shamrock Series" uniform, head coach Brian Kelly told him he'd be receiving a scholarship for his senior year in a video posted by the team on Thursday.

“He’s a great model, that’s why I brought him up here. Because he models a lot of the things that are right with Notre Dame football. He’s worked hard since he’s came here, he's a walk-on and today, Josh, congratulations, we’re awarding you a scholarship.”

The school's site said Anderson has provided "immeasurable service" as the team's "top running back on the offensive scout team each week."

Congrats to Anderson!

We were going to avoid any gushy, feel-good, "Rudy" clips in this post, but, HONESTLY, CAN YOU BLAME US?
