Josh Smith Stuffs MCW During Historic Night

76ers rookie Michael Carter-Williams might reconsider trying to dunk over Josh Smith the next time he takes on the Pistons.

Late in the third quarter on Friday night, MCW drove to his left and blew by the defender before rising up for a two-handed dunk. But Smith quickly moved over quickly and stuffed Carter-Williams' dunk against the backboard for one of his five blocks in the game.

Smith finished the game, a 114-104 win for Detroit, with a game-high 22 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists, five blocks and four steals. Only two other players in NBA history ever recorded those numbers in a game. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar did it twice and Hakeem Olajuwon did it once, per Keith Langlois of Pistons.com.

"I just wanted to be active, fly all over the place and set the mark on what we needed to do to win," Smith said after the game, via USA Today Sports.
