Joy Behar Mocks Barbara Walters, Elisabeth Hasselbeck's 'View' Exit (VIDEO)

WATCH: Joy Behar Jokes About Elisabeth Hasselbeck's Exit

Joy Behar hosted a panel on her Wednesday night Current TV show and discussed her "View" co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck's exit from "The View."

News broke on Tuesday that Hasselbeck, who denied rumors for months that she was being pushed out at "The View," landed a new gig on Fox News' morning show, "Fox & Friends." She will begin in September and replace host Gretchen Carlson, who will move to hosting a one-hour daytime program in the fall. Wednesday was Hasselbeck's final appearance on "The View."

The panel speculated over Hasselbeck's departure, wondering if the move was by choice or if the co-host was pushed out. Comedian Chuck Nice joked, "I think Barbara [Walters] actually called Fox and said, 'Help me out. Help a sister out. Come and take this girl off my hands.'"

"You think [Walters] is sleeping with Roger Ailes?" Behar joked. Changing tones, Behar, who also announced that she was leaving "The VIew" at the end of the season, said, "Well let's think about it. [Hasselbeck] is perfect for the job, so whether she was pushed, whether she wasn't pushed ... all's well that ends well. She's got a great new gig."
