Juliette Dunn Gave 10-Month-Old Cocaine, Let 4-Year-Old Chug Beer In Connecticut Park: Cops

Parents Behaving Badly: CT Mom and FL Pop Charged For Boozy Tots

A Connecticut mom and a Florida dad were both nabbed by police for endangering (and intoxicating) their children too young to appreciate Harry Potter, news outlets reported.

Bridgeport mom Juliette Dunn, 29, and Lisa Jefferson, 33, were arrested after witnesses told cops they saw Dunn's 4-year-old son chugging from a 40-ounce bottle of Steel Reserve at a Bridgeport Park, the The Connecticut Post reported. His 10-month-old sister's baby bottle was also full of booze, police told the paper.

Down in Orange County, Fla., dad Elvin Garcia was arrested after neighbors called 911 to report seeing his 18-month-old sipping from beer bottles strewn across the front porch, according to WFTV Channel 9 News in Orlando. Garcia was apparently asleep.

Not so with the mom in Connecticut. Police approached Dunn and Jeffereson after witnesses called to report that Jefferson gave beer to the preschooler and told him to chug it. Dunn told police that Jefferson gives him a bottle of beer every day, the paper notes.

Both were arrested and charged with two counts of risk of injury to a child and two counts of second-degree assault.
The two children were taken to Bridgeport Hospital, where the baby tested positive for cocaine in addition to alcohol found in both children's blood.

The boy told a social worker he liked, ""Natural Ice beer, Budweiser beer, but didn't like the taste of Dog-Bite beer," according to The Connecticut Post.

Police told The Huffington Post they could not issue further information as the investigation is ongoing.
