Justin Bieber's life has been out of control lately, culminating with his January arrest for allegedly drinking and driving while drag racing in Miami. It seems he wants to get back on track, however, as Page Six reported that on Saturday he scoured New York City for a baptism pool in order to reconnect with his Christian faith.
“Justin and his team spent time on Saturday searching for a place with a pool where they could conduct a baptism for him, a cleansing ritual, with the Hillsong Church," an unnamed source told Page Six. "But they couldn't find a place in time.”
The Hillsong NYC megachurch is led by Pastor Carl Lentz, a personal friend of Bieber's who has provided him with spiritual counsel in the past.
Page Six reported that Bieber's team was searching for a place in Manhattan with a private pool to have "a baptism-like" ceremony with Hillsong.
Another source allegedly told them, “Justin is serious about his Christian faith, and after recent events, he needed to take a pause.”
Bieber isn't shy about speaking out about his Christian faith. In September, he tweeted
On Monday, he sent the message
His fans are hoping that his faith will help him get through this difficult time, as #PrayForJustin trended on Twitter after his January arrest.
